New Valentines Day Home Décor

 This week I have been creating new Valentine’s Day home décor designs from illustrations, photographs, and AI-generated images. 

Valentine’s Day is one holiday that I like to decorate for because it's during the winter season when the days are dark and dreary. The red, and pink hearts, roses and cupid pillows, table linens, and kitchen accents always create a cozy ambiance and will brighten anyone’s mood.

Valentine’s Day throw pillows are a great way to accent your sofa or bed with holiday cheer.  You can also add a printed red heart and pink rose fleece blanket to the backside of your sofa. This dual-purpose blanket is decorative and also keeps the two of you warm while watching a movie.

I also created a few Valentine’s Day decorations for the kitchen. When it comes to the kitchen I like to accent the décor with paper-made heart garlands. Then update my mug holder with assorted Valentine's Day designs.  The kitchen towels always add a festive seasonal  red color and set the table with a holiday table cloth making a pretty background for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Autumn Season Home Décor by Zazzle

 This year I found all that I needed for the autumn season at Zazzle. I shopped the seasonal home decor designs and found uniquely designed pumpkin and sunflower table runners and decorative birch box signs for wall decor or as a table accent.  

Know that before shopping online I did shop locally at home decor and craft stores in my area but really couldn't find the autumn decorations that appealed to my taste.  All of the stores seemed to have the same design, and honestly, I wanted something unique that allowed me to personalize with my own words or upload my own artwork and knew that  Zazzle.com would allow me to shop the independent designers or I could create what I needed by uploading my photographs.

Here is the birch wooden box sign that I bought at Zazzle. The design features a watercolor pumpkin with leaves and a grouping of sunflowers in the background. The birch wooden box signs are a great way to accent your autumn-season decoration, as you can set them upright on a table or hang them on a wall.

Patriotic 4th of July Kitchen Decor Ideas

 

Decorating the kitchen for the 4^th of July is an activity that I enjoy. Normally I go all out decorating the kitchen as this is the room where family and friends tend to congregate. 

One way to decorate your kitchen for the 4th of July is to set the kitchen table with a festive holiday red white and blue tablecloth, then add placemats, napkins, and mason jars for the beverages. 

 Know that there are no rules when it comes to decorating for the 4^th of July holiday except to have fun.

Here is a red white and blue tablecloth that I created at my Zazzle store. This made-in-the-USA cotton tablecloth would look nice indoors or outdoors. This tablecloth features a beautiful edge-to-edge printing of vibrant red and blue colors. The edges are folded and hemmed for a perfect finish. 

June is the month when I start to get ready for the 4^th of July. That is when I look through my storage containers to determine what I have and what I need. Then as soon as the 4^th of July holiday decorations hit the store shelves I will be shopping for what I need.

This year I will be adding patriotic-designed mason jars to my table setting.  I thought they could hold small American flags and also I will be using them to serve lemonade.  Here is a mason jar that I found at Zazzle.  I think it's perfect.

My 4th of July shopping lists consist of red white and blue paper plates, napkins, placemats, table runners or tablecloths, kitchen towels, small flags for the centerpiece, and votive candles for the kitchen table. If I see decorative containers, serving trays, and kitchen products that have a patriotic / Americana design then I will buy and use them on my kitchen counter or add them to my baker's rack.

A centerpiece for your table is a must. Try to keep with a red white and blue flower scheme by choosing flowers that would coordinate with the holiday.  I like red roses, white carnations, or blue or white hydrangea cut flowers in a festive red or blue color vase. Accent your flower arrangement with small flags and you will have a perfect 4^th of July centerpiece for your kitchen table.

I was amazed at the finished product. The faux wrapped canvas print was not only the perfect size but it was also very easy to fold the edges to create the canvas look. I am very satisfied with my purchase as you can from the photo that it is quality made with colorful printing that is perfect.

Strawberry Decor for Kitchen

One of the best ways to add cheerfulness to your white kitchen is to decorate it with strawberry accents such as strawberry pattern kitchen towels with a red gingham border, wall clocks, coffee mugs, and more.

Winter Solstice Decorating Ideas

The winter solstice is celebrated worldwide. There are festivals, dinner parties, singing and dancing on the shortest day and longest night of the year. 

This year the winter solstice occurs on December 21^st and if you are someone who enjoys celebrating this day you may want to decorate your home with winter wonderland-designed products or invite your family and friends to a dinner feast.

When it comes to the winter solstice I prefer to spend time with my friends by hosting a candlelit dinner party where the centerpiece features branches from a balsam or Fraser fir tree, I will also add holly branches and accent the greenery with votive candles. 

The tablecloth will also represent winter and I like white or silver with a snowflake pattern.

For the winter solstice, I like a winter theme that features a forest in the winter season and my celebration is of the light and the rebirth of the sun. A few of my friends are pagan and they will celebrate the Yule. 

The Yule is one of the oldest winter celebrations and as I understand the pagans in ancient times were hunters and gatherers of leaves and berries in the forest seeking food and remedies for the common cold. The ancient people spent a lot of time outdoors so my pagan friends celebrate the winter solstice outdoors by singing, changing, or dancing in a circle around a fire that is burning the Yule log.
